I was reading my besties post about her children' s quotes and realized I too have a lot of funny one liners, incidents that includes my kids, friends, neighbours etc...
so Sonnie asks me (he was 5 or 6 then) ... "How old are u Mamma?"
I tell him my age....
"OOps Mamma, u almost gonna die"... and Iam like....Wha??????
When she was in junior kg:
Told Anica to tell Ro that Mamma made Payasam.... so she goes and tells him... "aie Owen, Mamma ade Vesham (Poison)"
When she was in senior kg:
Anica: Dada, I will ask you a question, if you tell me the correct answer, I will give u a tick.
Dada: go ahead
Anica: Shall I play with your phone or your laptop?
Dada: You are neither playing with my phone nor with my laptop
Anica: (angrily) you get zero marks!!!!!
Me: Anica, you should call Rohan Achachan
Anica: No, I will not!!!! He never calls me chechy.

Dada, how do they get petrol??...
They get oil from underground n through some process makes it petrol...
Underground there is oil? I know only of soil.
I gave 10rs to Anica to give offertory. When the collection bag came she was distracted and didn't put the money in the bag. When the sermon started she realized and came running to my seat and started crying. I said its OK and took the money from her. I pacified her saying that we can offer this after the service. When the service was over, I completely forgot!! She came n asked me.....give me money... I asked...what money??? To which she replied.... " patthu money"
My husband and I were preparing for barbecue. Summer, plus the heat from the coal and us trying to keep it burning....Suddenly our over concerned watchman appeared... "enna sir, cooking gas aayidicha???". My husbands expression was priceless and I just couldnt stop laughing.
Rohan had to make either a first aid box or a post box for his school project. Rohan opted for first aid box and we made it. That day at the bus stop, his batch mate came with a post box. so he was showing his postbox to us. Anica understood that like Rohan, the other boy has done a project. But she didnt know what in the world a postbox was... So, she asks him.. "Is that a second aid box????
one day I shut myslef in the kitchen, made paneer butter masala while chatting with my college friends... enjoyed each and every moment...felt like I was back in college.... but the feeling was just for a few minutes... I open the kitchen door and my dustbin is upside down on the carpet... kids clay (for clay modelling) is smeared all over the table and also carpet... and lil boy lying on the sofa with little girl standing on his chest and watching TV...
pushed the bucket of detergent from the table...and before me seeing, scooped it back but got caught in action!!!

November 30, 2012: woke up at 5 am and I sweep and mop the whole house...lil madam wakes up at 6 am, comes and spills one whole mug of coffee and sonnie walks all over it...... and sonnie comes and writes all over his chart paper with colour pen (which has to be submitted today) he says he was trying to beautify it!!!! and the whole thing had to be redone in less than an hours time on another chart paper! so again cutting the 18 pics on that chart paper to be stuck on the new one...again describing everything on the new one in his handwriting.. finally everything done but my heads still spinning!!!!
My son loves to listen to "In the jungle, the mighty jungle" and loves the video too with the hippopotamus.... whenever I put it for him, lil girl who was 3 then would say " But mamma, I dont want that potato thomas" Hippopotamus is what she means.
mamma, Opposite of Garage is Garbage, and opposite of America is Africa and Opposite of twenty three is thirty two..... enlightening day!!!!!!
Rohans first ever letter..... 5 years....
feb 6, 2012: probability, tally and fractions in grade 1. My heads aching...yeah,only mine...the student is super cool n says mamma, it mite b a lil tricky but it gets easy!
Jan 22, 2012: 1984 hit song is my daughter's favourite at the moment.... so cute to listen to her singing around the house....

Anica in grade 2:
She participates in an art competition. I ask her what happened? She says....ma'am said it's beautiful and asked me how I could draw it so beautifully. I was surprised and asked "really"? To which she replies. .."well,no she didn't say like that but I like to think that way"
This happened one day when I was reading a book.....
Ok...this is what happens when Iam cooking.... 2 and a half she was then...
I go for my bath and 2 and a half year old Anica opens the storage cupboard, empties a pouch of wheat flour and before she is caught, trying to clean up..... caught in action!!!!
And then, she refuses to get up....fascinated by all the shoes walking up n down...
but then again........ I forget all that when I see these.....
on mothers day..... 2011
