testimony

this happened back in 2004. i was pregnant with my son and one evening i was craving for egg puffs... i was bedridden (u know, the bed pan kinda bedridden) and there was noone around to buy me puffs.... well, since there was no point in craving for something u r sure ure not going to get.. and there was noone to talk to also... not even a TVin the room i was sleeping... i thought i will talk to JESUS... i took my bible and prayed... well, prayed for so many things, thanked him for everything, worshipped him sang songs... i said amen. as soon as i said that someone opened the door.... it was my husband back from work... wow.. he was early that day.... i just cudnt believe he was home so early and PRAISE THE LORD!!!! he had egg puffs with him.... tears well up in my eyes when i think of that moment, that day.... i never told him i wanted egg puffs... but JESUS knew my craving.. he is my father in heaven, i shall not want.... and for all u want to know how my husband came with the egg puff.. he parked the car outside the building and was coming up the steps... suddenly he felt like wanting to buy puffs ( he is not the kind who will go back to a shop or for that matter, go out at all once he is home).. so he took the car and drove to the nearest bakery... they didnt have puffs... so he went further down (unbelievable!!!!) and got to the bestest bakery in town to buy puffs (see what an awesome God I have.. he gives only the best) ... and as i was having the puffs that evening, i just cudnt thank my Jesus enough... that is who my God is... he is such an awesome God, my father in heaven, my everything.. I LOVE HIM

This is a pic of egg puffs (Popular South Indian Snack) I made.

  3. You know what??! I have a similar story :D so tell me if you get goosebumps after reading it. I had this incredible craving for chocolate cookies in the middle of the night - in the middle of a starvation diet some years back - and i just said "Oh God! I wish could get some choc biks but its so late so can't go shopping" and went to sleep. Next morning, someone knocked on the door and it was my best friend just returned from the US and guess what????? She pulled out a huge pack of Oreo cookies!!! How weird is that??!! Like God heard that silly little prayer when my friend was packing a week before and sent it so i got it the day after?!! Now tell me if you got goosebumps and please let me in on the secret of losing weight cos rabbit diets are killing me :P

  6. And mariam, what a mighty God we serve!!! its amazing how Jesus works!!! Oreos and egg puffs...and there is another incident of Idly rice also for me... (we dont get anything Indian in Cairo..so idlys and dosas are like manna..) when we first came, we didnt realize that we cannot make idlys with the rice we get here..so we brought only urud dal and also toor dal for sambar.. but what we made were not idlys...well it would never get cooked.. the batter will remain like that...i dont know what to call it...India rubber? well, one day he asked "mamma when are we going to madras so that we can have idlys.. the next day, we get a call from chennai from my husbands colleague that someone he knows is visiting cairo, shall I send something with him (the man was just on a visit for 4 days, so doesnt have much luggage too) PRAISE THE LORD... we told him, all that we want is 5 kg idly rice.... after that we make idlys and dosas..
